The Perfect Me

What’s the Perfect ME? If you could define the perfect image of yourself, what would that be? Grab a piece of paper and write it down.

In your Perfect ME definition, you want to include the type of work you do, your income, your hobbies, your home, your relationships, virtually everything you would LIKE TO BE and LIKE TO HAVE in your life.

Grab a second piece of paper, write down your present situation in response to all of the things on the first list. This is the REAL ME. Then, compare the two lists.

Your GOAL is to create this equation: Perfect ME = REAL ME

If you could quantify the Perfect ME : REAL ME ratio and give it a name, say the “Satisfaction Quotient”, how would you rate?

Your Perfect ME is your target. Your GOAL is to achieve that Perfect ME image. The closer you can bring your REAL ME situation to your Perfect ME image, the greater your satisfaction.

You can approach any goal in life with this same philosophy. You have a goal. You have a present situation. Now bring those two things together. Sure, there are other factors involved, such as creating a plan of action to help you balance both sides of this equation. But, that’s a lesson for another day.
